No Geeks, No Nerds, Just Pro's
Data Recovery Services
Lost files from a failed or damaged hard drive? We'll do our best to get them back — and if we can't recover your data, there's no charge.
What this service covers
Data Recovery for home & business
If your computer won't start, your drive isn't showing up, or important files have gone missing, bring it to our lab. We recover data from laptops and desktops, internal and external drives. Here's what we commonly help with:
- Hard drives that click, whir, or grind
- Computers that won't boot or freeze on startup
- Drives that no longer show up on the computer
- Accidentally deleted or formatted files
- Water-, power-surge-, or impact-damaged computers
- Photos, documents, and email you thought were gone
One honest note. A small number of drives have severe physical damage that can only be handled in a certified clean-room lab. If yours is one of them, we'll tell you plainly — and we can point you to a trusted specialist rather than risk your data.

Data Recovery questions
Frequently asked questions
Can you recover data from a hard drive that won't turn on?
Often, yes. Many drives that won't boot still have fully recoverable data. Bring the computer in for a free diagnosis and we'll tell you what's recoverable before any work begins.
My drive is making a clicking or whirring noise — what should I do?
Turn the computer off and unplug it. Those sounds often mean the drive's internal parts are failing, and continuing to run it can make the data loss worse. Bring it to us as soon as you can.
How much does data recovery cost?
Most data recovery runs between $100 and $350, with no deposit required. If we're not able to recover your data, there is no charge for the recovery.
Can you recover deleted or accidentally formatted files?
Often, yes — especially if the drive hasn't been heavily used since. Stop using the computer and bring it in; the sooner we look, the better the chances.
What if my drive is too badly damaged to recover here?
A small number of drives have severe physical damage that needs a certified clean-room lab. If yours is one of them, we'll tell you honestly and can refer you to a trusted specialist.
Do you recover data from Macs and external drives too?
Yes. We work on both Mac and PC, laptops and desktops, and internal as well as external drives.
